Asthma First Aid in Aged Care Facilities - face to face
This course has been designed specifically for all staff working in the Aged Care sector. It includes a review of symptoms and triggers, has a particular focus on asthma medications and devices, training in how to use and assist others in the use of each inhaler type, and also covers asthma first aid.
All nursing and care staff in Aged Care facilities.

- Role of asthma medications in asthma management
- Importance of using asthma action plans
- How to use delivery devices
- Responding to an asthma emergency with Asthma First Aid
Section 256B of the Health (Drugs and Poisons) Regulation 1996 enables ALL employees of Queensland aged care facilities to manage the signs of an asthma emergency in a patient or resident, through administration of blue reliever medication, providing the employee has undertaken specified asthma first aid training.

This course can be delivered at your own venue for groups of 8 or more at a date and time that suits your needs.
$450 (incl. GST) per session (minimum 8 participants)
