The Lung Story
The Lung Story is a hands on, interactive education session that uses visual materials and resources to facilitate a conversation to about asthma.
The group helps to guide the discussionas the facilitator provides education and strategies to support effective asthma management.
Who should attend?
People with asthma, and/or their carers
The Lung Story is based upon the following:
- Recognition of asthma - why it is harder to breathe
- Understanding how asthma makes you feel
- being aware of what can make asthma worse
- understanding where to get help and support
- knowing what to do to help asthma (medications and devices)
- Asthma First Aid
Please allow between 60 to 90 mins for a session
Free for eligible groups.
Currently these sessions are funded by the Australian Government, through Asthma Australia's Community Support Program.
