Christmas Hope
Gift some hope this Christmas
‘Asthma first came into my family’s lives, suddenly and dramatically when my youngest son Jensen, who didn’t have asthma as far as we knew, nearly died. He was only four years old.’
Jensen was four years old when he suffered his first asthma attack. His mum Kezia, who found him pale and struggling to breath, immediately called emergency services.

‘His lips were turning blue, he was suffocating in front of us. The situation was gravely serious and very unexpected. I knew to call an ambulance, but I didn’t know he was suffering a serious asthma attack.’
Read Kezia and Jensen’s story.
Like Jensen, nearly half a million children in Australia under the age of 14 have asthma, and many more families are receiving this devastating diagnosis every day. Asthma Australia helps them every day, and funds research programs that we hope will one day find a cure for asthma.
So, this Christmas, please gift some hope so kids like Jensen can enjoy the magic of Christmas free from the burden of asthma.
