One in every 9 Australians live with asthma. Many of them children.
PJ Day is a community led fundraising event where schools, childcare organisations, workplaces, groups and individuals come together to wear their PJs (or slippers, or dressing gowns) for the day and raise funds to enable critical asthma research.
The day was founded in 2009 by a young girl living with asthma who spent a lot of time in hospital and her PJs.
Dressing for the day in your PJs is fun but it also bears a deeper meaning and reminds us of the experience of children around Australia, who often have to spend significant time away from school at home or in hospital.
Over 2.5 million Australians live with asthma - many of them family and friends. PJ Day is a great way to support them, have fun, and educate staff and students about asthma and raise funds for asthma research.
You can hold your event at any time that suits you. Register to receive your pack and get started.
