Research has revolutionised the lives of people with asthma

Working with your local Asthma Foundation

PJ Day_Web Banner

One in every 9 Australians live with asthma. Many of them children.

PJ Day is a community led fundraising event each May that raises funds to address this statistic. Schools, childcare organisations, workplaces, groups and individuals come together to wear their PJs (or slippers, or dressing gowns) for the day and raise funds to enable critical asthma research.

The day was founded in 2009 by Montana, a young girl living with asthma who spent a lot of time in hospital and her PJs. Dressing for the day in your PJs is fun but it also bears a deeper meaning and reminds us of the experience of children around Australia, who often have to spend significant time away from school at home or in hospital.

The event has grown over the past 7 years to include hundreds of organisations across New South Wales and Queensland and this year we are back bigger than ever with a bright new look and renewed purpose.

2 million Australians live with asthma - you probably know some of them. PJ Day is a great way to support them, have fun, and educate staff and students about asthma and raise funds for asthma research.

PJ Day is in May to coincide with World Asthma Day - but you can hold yours at any time that suits you. Join us. Register to receive your pack and get started.
