Join us, have fun with national PJ Day!
Every winter Asthma Australia hosts its PJ Day events campaign, a campaign to support funding asthma research to aid the 2.7 million Australians who are living with asthma, many of whom are children. In fact, it’s one of the leading reasons that children miss out on school.
From an idea created by a young girl, Montanna, who has asthma and as a result spent lots of her time in her PJs playing with her friends, the event was first held by Asthma Australia in 2009. Over the last 10 years the event has now a truly national celebration for people to support asthma.
So, please, join us. It’s really very simple. All you need to do is pick a date to host your own PJ Day, in winter, and then just register online!
What you do for your own celebration is up to you. You might just spend the day in your PJs, or you may host hold a morning or afternoon tea, have a games day or simply ask people for a gold coin donation. There are lots of good ideas, so click here for some of our event and fundraising tips.
Once you have registered, we will send you a link to our ‘PJ Day Team Pack’ to welcome you to the PJ Day team. The pack is produced by Asthma Australia and contains some great health information, a range of promotional posters and flyers, and many other resources that can help you share the fun of the day, as well as provide you with relevant information about asthma and how your support will assist us in funding asthma research.
