I am in a workplace
Australian workplaces are impacted directly by asthma and in particular by poorly controlled or poorly managed asthma.
Factors of concern for employers are:
- Absenteeism related to individual employees;
- Absenteeism of parents caring for children with asthma;
- and lowered productivity.
Asthma Australia and its member Asthma Foundations provide Asthma First Aid training so that staff in workplaces will know what to do in the event of an asthma emergency. Being able to treat an asthma emergency could save a life.
