I am in a workplace
Australian workplaces are impacted directly by asthma and in particular by poorly controlled or poorly managed asthma.
Factors of concern for employers are:
- Absenteeism related to individual employees;
- Absenteeism of parents caring for children with asthma;
- and lowered productivity.
Asthma Foundation SA provides Asthma First Aid training so that staff in workplaces will know what to do in the event of an asthma emergency. Being able to treat an asthma emergency could save a life.
Who should attend?
Employers can create a safer work environment by training their staff to recognise and respond to an asthma emergency.
Signs and symptoms of asthma;
Identifying asthma triggers;
Assessing the severity of an asthma attack;
How to manage an Asthma Emergency;
Using an Asthma Emergency Kit.
Qualification & Certification
Certificate valid for three years.
This course is presented by an approved Asthma Foundation SA trainer.
Training can be provided at your organisation, or at Asthma Foundation SA.
$220 per group of up to 20 participants.
